AUTHOR'S NOTE: You know, sometimes I try to understand why I write what I do and I always seem to fail. I think it's caused from being dropped on my head when I was a child. That and a fear of lawn gnomes. Transformed! By: Dreiser She first heard the music when she walked off the elevator and towards Tara's room. Willow had just gotten a phone call from Giles. He wanted them to get together for the usual research and she wanted to ask Tara if she'd like to come along. Mostly because, well, Willow wanted Tara there. Hell, Willow just wanted Tara. It was as simple as that. So that's why she was walking down the hallway towards her dorm room, hearing that strange music get louder. Except now the music was accompanied by the sounds of thumping and tiny meows. Wondering exactly what was going on, Willow started to knock on the door but instead, she gave into curiosity and simply opened it. What met her eyes was the sight of Tara dancing around her dorm, using the candle Willow had given her days ago as a microphone. Miss Kitty Fantastico was perched on the edge of Tara's bed, scratching the bedspread as she meowed in oddly musical patterns. Closing the door very quietly, Willow couldn't help the grin that spread across her features as she watched Tara continue to dance and sing, her back facing her. "Strong enough to break the bravest heart," Tara declared, shaking her hips and giving her butt a little wriggle. "So we have to pull together. We can't stay worlds apart." She then danced over to the bed, leaning down to peer into Miss Kitty's eyes as she sang. "To stand divided we will surely fall. Until our darkest hour. When the light will save us all." Setting the candle down, she picked up the kitten and helped her do a spastic mini dance in the air. "Transformers! More than meets the eye. Transformers! Robots in disguise." Moving Miss Kitty's paws around, Tara giggled and placed her down on the bed then went onto sing saucily, "Transformers!" "Autobots wage their battle--" Tara stopped abruptly in her song and dance routine when she saw Willow leaning against her door and smiling widely. "Willow!" she gave a startled cry, stumbling backwards. In a quick move, she ran across her dorm room and towards the stereo, turning the song off. Looking up at the redhead who was walking towards her and still smiling, she laughed nervously. "I'm sorry you had to see that. I was just..." "You know," Willow murmured as she stopped inches away from Tara and smiled sweetly up at the other girl. "I always wondered why you had those action figures lying around your dorm. I guess now I have my answer." "It's my favorite cartoon," Tara revealed sheepishly. "I should've known," said Willow, moving her hands up to wrap around the back of Tara's neck. "After all," she breathed as their lips rested millimeters apart. "You're more than meets the eye." And as the embrace they were in deepened, they waged a battle much different than anything the Autobots knew of. At least, in the censored version of the series. -End-
